Meet Pastor Bryan
Every life tells a story. Pastor Bryan Van Pelt loves hearing those stories because he knows that God delights in changing them.
Bryan's own story began with an unexpected gift. Adopted as a young child, he grew up experiencing the love of a family that chose him. Today, that experience gives special meaning to one of his favorite biblical truths—that through faith in Jesus Christ, God welcomes us into His own family.
For more than twenty years, Bryan has walked alongside people through many of life's most important moments. He has served as a pastor, a U.S. Army chaplain, a hospice chaplain, and a church revitalization leader. Whether celebrating new beginnings, encouraging those who are struggling, or comforting families in times of loss, his desire has remained the same: to point people to the hope, peace, and truth found in Jesus Christ.
Bryan believes the Bible is God's living Word and that it still changes lives today. His greatest joy is helping people understand Scripture, grow as disciples of Christ, and discover the purpose God has for their lives.
Bryan and his wife, Suzanne, have been married since 1983. They have three adult children and two wonderful grandchildren. When he's away from his study, you'll often find him traveling with a camera in hand, exploring places rich in history, or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
